Marcel Wanders is a Dutch-born designer, graduating from the School of the Arts Arnhem in 1988. The first iconic piece by Marcel Wanders was his Knotted Chair, which he created for Droog Design in 1996. As the art director and co-owner of Moooi, the company has grown into an internationally renowned design label since 2000. He also works on architectural and home interiors, designing the interior of Blits restaurant in Rotterdam and the interior of the restaurant Thor in New York, including the bar, lounge and private club.
